In section 2 we begin to meet new people and get to know them and their lives. By meeting these people we learn more life lessons and things that connect with the characters. One life lessons that I believe can relate to Ron would be stop searching for happiness and let it find you. Ron keeps looking in the past and searching for that perfect life and happiness but it will never be the same. Chris explains to him that he needs to live his life and it go. Another connection that John Watermen and Chris is having problems with in the family can have such a big impact on peoples lives. Both of them had troubles with their fathers and this made them push away from their families. Being in the wild and deciding to leave could be because of this.
